There are certain couples that I think about warmly and often, and Lauren and Evan are one of those couples for me. Spending time with them at their Mount Gulian wedding felt like being wrapped in the excited hug of a loved one after walking through the airport. Their day was effortless, their laughter was infectious, and I’ll never get over the emotions on display on their beautiful wedding day.
Magnanini Winery Wedding // Erica + Jimmy
When looking back on Erica and Jimmy’s Magnanini Winery wedding day, it’s hard to believe that it was two years ago. Every adorable moment from this wedding day feels like it was just yesterday. I can still feel the wind that threatened to take Erica’s veil, and the excitedly warm vibes of the wedding party. This wedding was good because of all the souls that were in it.
Art Factory Studios Wedding // Kate-Lynn + Kevin
I have the incredible honor and joy of photographing so many beautiful wedding days, but something about Kate-Lynn and Kevin’s big day at the Art Factory in New Jersey stays with me, even to this day - I don’t think there is a week that goes by when I don’t think back on their wedding. Maybe it was all of the thought they put into making their wedding day FUN. Maybe it was all of the best kind of chaos that happened on their day. Maybe it was how Kate-Lynn treated me like a co-conspirator in her ongoing quest for exciting adventure. No matter what it was, it’s a memory that always brings the biggest smile to my face, knowing that I got to enjoy such an incredible day alongside such incredible people.
Whitby Castle Wedding // Rachel + Tristan
When I first moved to New York several years ago, I became completely enamored with the fact that there was a castle wedding venue less than an hour from where I lived. It used to be one of my goals to photograph a wedding at Whitby Castle; little did I know that I would eventually get to photograph multiple weddings there - a true excitement and joy every time.
Hollow Brook Golf Club Wedding // Kerry + Rob
I know I say I love all of my couples immensely. I say it often and emphatically, and while I do say that quite a lot, it’s never a lie. And Kerry and Rob are no exception. From the moment I met them, listened to their story of getting engaged in Massachusetts, learned about their careers, heard about their families, I knew I wanted to spend their entire Hollow Brook Golf Club wedding with them.
Revel 32 (Keepsake at the Academy) Wedding // Andrea + Anthony
From the moment I met Andrea and Anthony, they captured my heart in the most endearing of ways. They are incredibly kind, warm, and laugh easily and heartily. What I remember the most from working with them for their engagement session especially was Andrea’s giggle. She and Anthony are both a joy to spend time with.
Their wedding at Revel 32 (a venue that’s now transitioned over to Keepsake at the Academy) was a darling day.
West Hills Country Club Wedding // Katie + Tim
Katie and Tim are two souls that have my heart completely. From the moment I met them both in person for their engagement session, I knew they were kindred spirits. They are the kindest and most endearing of souls who laugh easily and love heartily. Walking into their West Hills Country Club wedding day, I just knew it was going to be a good day - and I wasn’t wrong.
Hollow Brook Golf Club Wedding // Paula + Andrew
I have a photographic memory when it comes to the first time I meet my couples. They’re often on Zoom, sitting in their cute living rooms, cuddled up next to each other. And, this is how I met Paula and Andrew; we were across the internet, but immediately felt so connected that Paula teared up when talking about us being able to work together for her Hollow Brook Golf Club wedding.
Rustic Ridge View Farm Wedding // Rita + Noam
To know Rita and Noam is to love them. Fully and wholeheartedly. All of my clients are endearing in their own special and unique ways, but the way Rita and Noam flow through life, and subsequently flowed through their Rustic Ridge View Farm wedding day, makes you want to spend as much time with them as humanly possible. They’re funny, warm, gentle, and so kindly complimentary to everyone around them.
Indian Ridge Wedding // Maggie + Alex
Withy Hollow Flower Farm Wedding // Ashley + Marc
When I first pulled onto the property of Withy Hollow Flower Farm, I felt like I was transported into a quieter, simpler time. Ducks roamed the property; the air was quiet. A hint of rain hung in the atmosphere, and the flowers softly moved in the summer breeze. It was the perfect setting for Ashley and Marc’s small wedding, surrounded only by the most important and meaningful souls. They celebrated as they wanted to celebrate - simply and easily, with the only overarching emotion being the love between the two of them. No stress. No worries. Just love.
Hollow Brook Golf Club Wedding // Katherine + Victor
If there’s one word that comes to mind when I reminisce on working with Katherine and Victor for their Hollow Brook Golf Club wedding, it’s the word Comfort. They are comfortable and warm with each other, their family, their friends, and were such a joy for me to photograph on their big day. Everything felt enjoyable and light because all they cared about was getting married to each other.
Brotherhood Winery Wedding // Alina + Ilya
When Alina and I first connected, she told me that she was envisioning a slightly industrial garden and greenery vibe for her wedding day - and her wedding to Ilya at Brotherhood Winery in July delivered just that. It was a beautifully aesthetic day filled with the same type of vibrant joy that colorful flowers welcome in on a warm summer day.
Callicoon Hills Wedding Weekend // Sophie + Eric
If I’m being honest, I think about Sophie and Eric’s Callicoon Hills wedding weekend often, especially when the late days of June turn into the early days of July, as the weather is consistently warmer, and the trees are most lush. Sophie and Eric’s wedding weekend is seared into my mind, and looking back on it feels as nostalgic as looking back on my own milestones feels. There was just something about that weekend, those 72 hours, with the most endearing and wonderful of people that felt like a gift, like I was welcomed and included, like I could have spent another whole week there with these souls. It just all felt GOOD.
Nostrano Vineyards Wedding // Stephanie + Brian
Looking back on Stephanie and Brian’s Nostrano Vineyards wedding day for this blog felt like the happiest of memories revisited. It was the wildest of weather days - warm and sunny in the morning, windy and cloudy by midday, and so cold I had to wear my winter coat by the time the reception started - but the different weather only added to how magical this whole day felt, from beginning to end.
Locust Grove Estate Wedding // Jules + Dakota
Weddings that are a little out-of-the-box are my favorites to photograph, and Jules and Dakota’s wedding at Locust Grove in Poughkeepsie, NY was just that. This location is gorgeous, but is also almost completely DIY, so you can really design your wedding day exactly as you want it to occur. Jules and Dakota’s wedding day was full of all of the best things - a pup, a pizza truck, their smiles, good friends, precious family. It was a uniquely sweet day for all of the right reasons.
The Ultimate Guide to Planning a Hudson Valley Wedding Weekend
I truly believe that there is no better place to host a wedding weekend than in the Hudson Valley of New York. As a wedding photographer who has photographed hundreds of weddings in the Hudson Valley, I can tell you that I’ve found nowhere as unique and beautiful to host a multiple-day wedding event. Because of all of the options the Hudson Valley offers, it’s a prime location to consider for planning your wedding weekend, whether you want to enjoy the quaint villages or sprawling outdoors of the region with your family and friends.
Catskills Wedding // Lauren + Scott
When I became a wedding photographer in the Hudson Valley, I truthfully had no idea how close I was to all of the magic that the Catskills region has to offer for weddings. But, when I did realize it - man, what a dream. It’s no secret that I love the Hudson Valley, but Catskills weddings just feel different in the best way. There is space and open air; guests and couples feel just a little more relaxed; venues are scarce, but backyards are plenty, which is where Lauren and Scott got married on the most adorable June day.
The Garrison Wedding // Tara + Dylan
As a seasoned (14+ years, y’all!) photographer in the Hudson Valley, I get to photograph so many wonderful weddings in beautiful locations, and The Garrison is one of those beautiful locations. Tara and Dylan chose to get married here because they love the beauty and simplicity of nature, and the grounds at The Garrison provide exactly that - beauty and simplicity, surrounded by gorgeous greenery.
We were so lucky with the beautiful weather on Tara and Dylan’s wedding day - the sun was shining, the air was warm, and even though it had rained the day before (and we had to strategically avoid some puddles), it didn’t hamper any documentation of their gorgeous day.
Hollow Brook Golf Club Wedding // Christine + Sinjin
It’s no secret that I photograph a lot of weddings at Hollow Brook Golf Club, but it’s not often that I get to photograph weddings there back-to-back; however, on this glorious May weekend, I photographed a wedding there on Saturday, and then Christine and Sinjin’s wedding the following Sunday.
This day was lush, green, fun, relaxed - it was everything that I believe anyone could ever hope for on their wedding day.
