Hudson Valley Wedding Photography Packages
I think I’m supposed to use this part of the website to tell you how I started. What my education is. How many years of experience I have, and why my prices are what they are. Buttttttt I’m not going to, because (1) that’s boring, and (2) truthfully, what I’m most interested in is you:
The stories you hold within you, and that you want expressed on your wedding day. The love you share with each other that gets to be shared with your family and friends. The home you’ve made within each others’ hearts. The security you provide to each other. The joy you find in one another that I get to document. << Wow. It’s a gift to share in this with you. It took my breath away just writing that.
My biggest priority when working with you is that you feel safe, seen, and supported. That you feel comfortable and protected in my presence; cheerled and held space for. Good photos should recall good memories when you see them. When looking through your wedding photos, I want you to remember the exact beautiful and exciting moment that your images were taken - the warmth that you felt with each other, and the encouragement my team and I offered to you in that moment, as well.
I’m an affirming person by nature, a nurturer, an excited cheerleader, a helper. It brings me no greater joy than to see you flourish in front of my lens. When we get to work together, I just want you to feel good, and I can’t tell you how delighted I feel when I hear my clients say, “I wish I had your voice playing as my alarm clock or ringtone every morning - you make us feel so amazing!”
If I’m to be vulnerable, honest, and a little bit wistful, I want you to know that my mom died 2 years before I had my own wedding day. She was my best friend, and it was the most heartbreaking thing to lose her, but her passing still deeply informs how I move through wedding days - even now, over a decade later. Losing her gave me perspective - that the little things are really the big things, and that everyone blossoms when they are affirmed and loved well.
For me, the art of wedding photography is the heart. Love is the mission; wedding photography is the vehicle.
