When looking back on Erica and Jimmy’s Magnanini Winery wedding day, it’s hard to believe that it was two years ago. Every adorable moment from this wedding day feels like it was just yesterday. I can still feel the wind that threatened to take Erica’s veil, and the excitedly warm vibes of the wedding party. This wedding was good because of all the souls that were in it.

THE COUPLE

Erica and Jimmy are a couple you just want to spend time with. They’re warm and funny and welcoming, and Erica is quick to let her smile showcase how she feels. They’re excellent all around - a wonderful couple and incredible parents.

I hand-delivered Erica and Jimmy’s printed wedding album to them after their wedding, and ended up chatting with Erica in her driveway for half an hour. When I was driving away, all I felt was warm fuzzies. That’s the kind of people she and Jimmy are. Warm fuzzies in human form.

THE VENUE

Magnanini Winery is a quaint wedding space in Wallkill, NY that boasts two locations to use for hosting an event - the large tent and outdoor pond view ceremony space where Erica and Jimmy got married (cutely named Two Hearts Vineyard), or the smaller restaurant and garden ceremony space that events with lower guest counts may want to consider. Both spaces have great photo opportunities; you really can’t go wrong with either one.

The tent at Magnanini Winery is one of my favorite reception places to photograph. It’s bright, high-ceilinged, and lets in lots of light. It makes photographing receptions a dream, and looks so romantic in images - truly a statement location.

THE DETAILS

Erica and Jimmy chose a natural aesthetic for their details, picking an invitation suite that showcased greenery to match the green and white floral table runners that were placed on each table at their reception. The entire look was so clean and effortless; walking into their tented reception felt like walking into a little French countryside.

Erica and Jimmy included their baby daughter in their wedding, and of course she was the star of the show; we made sure we photographed all of her details alongside everything else because documenting here was just as important as documenting anyone else that day.

THE RECEPTION

Erica and Jimmy’s reception was a vibe, complete with a packed dance floor and lots of happy shenanigans. Everywhere I looked, someone was dancing like their life depended on it, scream-singing, or hugging. It was such a fun party to capture.

The forecast for Erica and Jimmy’s wedding day was rain. It didn’t end up raining until after all of the necessary photos were done, but even if it had, the day would have been just as wonderful - simply because Erica and Jimmy are wonderful.

“BEST DECISION EVER!! I met with several photographers prior to meeting Erica, and as soon as we spoke, I knew she was the one for us. Sweet Alice and the story behind it was all I needed to hear. Of all of our vendors, she was the one that constantly checked in to see if we had questions and to see how we were feeling throughout the whole process.

met Erica in person for the first time during our engagement pictures and at the time our baby was 6 months old. I asked her if she could join our pictures and Erica was very upfront that baby pictures weren't her thing. Well, you would never know it. The pictures were STUNNING and we are so lucky to have them forever!! She was so sweet to us and our daughter. She made us laugh when we felt silly taking certain pictures and made the whole shoot so much fun for us.

When we thought it couldn't get any better, it did. It was supposed to rain the entire day of our wedding. I emailed her two days before freaking out and she calmed me down immediately, assured me that if it did the pictures would still be amazing. Luckily, the rain had stopped by picture time and the wind was working in our favor. She honestly just made the process so easy and calming. We had 27 people in our bridal party, and I was worried about how it would look. I'm not sure why because the pictures are flawless and everyone in the bridal party spoke so highly of her and her team. After our wedding I said to my husband, ‘Would it be weird if I asked her to hangout?’ LOL

Moral of the story, Erica is great, her team is great, and you will not find a better photographer for your wedding!”
