From the moment I met Andrea and Anthony, they captured my heart in the most endearing of ways. They are incredibly kind, warm, and laugh easily and heartily. What I remember the most from working with them for their engagement session especially was Andrea’s giggle. She and Anthony are both a joy to spend time with.

Their wedding at Revel 32 (a venue that’s now transitioned over to Keepsake at the Academy) was a darling day.

THE COUPLE

Andrea and Anthony met online a few years before their wedding, and love doing life together. As mentioned before, Andrea is a warm soul, so it only makes sense that her job is working with children with special needs. Anthony is in the food industry, owning and operating Rossi’s with his family, and also the brother of one of my favorite DJs to recommend in the Hudson Valley: DJ Domenic. Andrea and Anthony are comfortable together, exuding confidence when they spend time with each other, easily gifting each other joy and gentle love.

THE VENUE

Revel 32 is no longer in operation as a wedding venue (it has since been sold to Darkside Records), but its management now oversees Keepsake at the Academy in Poughkeepsie, NY, as they were sister venues before the transition. Revel 32 was a great mostly-indoors venue, with lots of clean, bright light and cute spots to take photos indoors. Keepsake is similar in this way, in that it has beautiful locations indoors for photos; however, if that’s not your style, a lot of hidden gems for outdoor portraits can be found within a 10-minute drive of the venue.

THE DETAILS

Andrea and Anthony chose a purple and gray aesthetic for their details, which was especially stunning in their florals. I was enamored with Andrea’s gown, which had drop sleeves and intricate lace. The circular arch that the couple chose as the backdrop for their ceremony was also stunning - it was simple, but added such a pretty statement to the already-beautiful indoor space.

THE RECEPTION

The reception space was located in a ballroom directly behind the ceremony location. It was so nice how everything just flowed throughout the entirety of the building. Their special dances and speeches at the reception were heartfelt and emotional, and it was a joy to photograph not only these darling moments, but also the happiness everyone felt when dancing.
