If there’s one word that comes to mind when I reminisce on working with Katherine and Victor for their Hollow Brook Golf Club wedding, it’s the word Comfort. They are comfortable and warm with each other, their family, their friends, and were such a joy for me to photograph on their big day. Everything felt enjoyable and light because all they cared about was getting married to each other.

THE COUPLE

The biggest thing that Katherine and Victor stressed to me about planning their wedding was that they wanted everything to feel easy. They’re easygoing, and so wanted their wedding to reflect that. Katherine and Victor truly are two of the most carefree people I’ve ever met, who just want to enjoy their lives with the special people in it over and above anything else.

They love being outdoors, spending time with their rescue pup, and traveling - enjoying life in the best and simplest ways they know how.

THE VENUE

Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, NY is my home away from home - I’ve honestly lost count of how many weddings I’ve photographed there now! It is such a gem of a location, and when I ask most couples why they chose it as their wedding venue, they note that it is rustic yet homey, beautiful yet cozy - and they’re right. Hollow Brook has an abundance of benefits to hosting a wedding there: a great rainplan (there are multiple covered locations where you can still take photos if it rains), beautiful grounds that look more like a fairytale than a golf course, incredible staff, and amazing food. You can’t go wrong hosting a wedding here.

THE DETAILS

Katherine and Victor’s wedding was held during a heatwave, but you could never tell from the photos. Everyone looked beautiful and effortless in their summery and colorful attire, embracing pops of blue, green, and pink. It was the perfect warm weather color palette for a July wedding.

THE RECEPTION

I didn’t stay for much of Katherine and Victor’s reception, but what I got to see was all ease and all joy - exactly as they wanted it. Everyone was happy. Everyone was celebrating. It was the most perfect day for the most perfect couple.

I love July weddings (yes, even in heatwaves!), and Katherine and Victor made this July wedding day all the more special just by being them. 💛
