In preparation for this blog post, I took a look at what Kelly sent in her original inquiry form:
“I found you through [Otterkill Country Club’s] IG, then I stalked your pictures ;) I am in absolute awe of your work. We would love to hire you for our wedding.”
Simple. Sweet. Kind. Decisive. That’s exactly who Kelly is. And Joe is a great match for her. For all her sweetness, he is silly. For all her kindness, he is playful and warm.
Kelly and Joe’s wedding was a good day because they are good people.
THE COUPLE
As mentioned above, Kelly and Joe are a beautiful match. They’re fun-loving, and fun to be around. They’re up for anything, and love to adventure through life together. They have THE cutest pup, and even though wedding days have the potential for stress, spending their wedding day with them felt like a breeze. We traipsed through tall grass, explored the little picturesque nooks of the venue grounds, and just enjoyed each other’s company. Spending time with them felt sweet.
THE VENUE
Kelly and Joe got married at Otterkill Country Club in Campbell Hall, NY. Right now, I think this location is a little bit of a hidden gem, and every time I get to photograph a wedding there, it feels like a treat. The grounds offer so many options for photos (open fields, bridges, willow trees), and the reception hall is just beautiful, with large windows that let in lots of natural light. The menu is also amazing for events - guests often rave about it.
THE DETAILS
Kelly and Joe chose wine-colored accents for their wedding, alongside black suits and Kelly’s beautiful lace gown. Their tables were adorned with greenery and red roses, and their favors were little mason jars filled with the ingredients for s’mores. So simple, classic, and cute.
THE RECEPTION
I enjoy most receptions, but I loved Kelly and Joe’s. Watching their people party the night away was a joy, and knowing that this group was finally able to celebrate after a year of replanning due to the pandemic was a gift.
Kelly and Joe, you are everything wonderful and kind. Thank you for letting me share your gorgeous day with you. It was just the best.

Erica is an absolute amazing photographer and a truly sweet person. We were so lucky to have found her. From our first meeting at Starbucks to our wedding day has been a pleasure working with her. I can’t thank her enough for her open communication, sincere notes/emails/texts, keeping everyone grounded on our wedding day and making everything run so seamless. Her responsiveness is extremely quick whether it be answering an email to receiving our final wedding pictures. The pictures are absolutely breathtaking and emotions that she captured were stunning. I would recommend her time and time again.
