I take a lot of pride in the couples I have the privilege to serve. I find them to be consistently kind, consistently laid back, consistently adventurous - just all around consistently enjoyable.
And Terasa + Fred were exactly that, as per usual. 💕
THE COUPLE
The first time I met Terasa + Fred in person was for their engagement session in Cold Spring, NY. It was a dreary day, complete with drizzle and fog, but the weather didn’t affect this darling couple at all. We hiked together through mud and rain, got a little messy - and had a whole lot of fun.
Terasa + Fred smiled throughout our entire time together - and so did I.
THE VENUE
If you know Beacon, NY, then you know that The Roundhouse is basically THE place to have a wedding in that area. Indoors, this venue boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, brick walls, and wooden farm tables. Outdoors, couples have access to a waterfall near the patio, Beacon’s quaint Main Street, and several unique buildings for photo backgrounds. If you want industrial-meets-small-town, The Roundhouse is for you.
Not only that, but guests love both the setting and the food at The Roundhouse. If you want to host a wedding that guests will rave about for years to come, this is the place.
THE DETAILS
Terasa + Fred opted for navy, powder blue, white, and touches of green for their wedding colors. It was such a fresh and unique color combination, and an absolute joy to photograph.
Terasa wore a gown from Modern Trousseau, which was such a beautiful choice for her elegant, lacy, yet understated look, and Fred’s dapper outfit choice complimented Terasa’s perfectly. I literally could have photographed them forever.
THE RECEPTION
Succulents and greenery were the elements of choice when decorating Terasa + Fred’s reception space at The Roundhouse. I found the juxtaposition of the industrial elements alongside the more natural ones absolutely striking.
MD Music kept the party going with live musicians and great music choices, and I don’t remember the party ever stopping - not even for a moment. 🎶
When I think about Terasa + Fred’s wedding day, one of my favorite memories was their private cake-cutting. Instead of stopping the party, they crowded together under the stairs to cut their cake - grinning, sweaty, excited, happy.
And I think that’s how every wedding day should end.
Grinning.
Sweaty.
Excited.
Happy.
Terasa + Fred’s day was perfect from start to finish.
