I am forever charmed by my clients. Across the board, they are unfailingly kind, funny, warm, loving - they are people you can spend 8 hours with, and wish you had 8 hours more. Of course, this was also the case with Domenica and Christian at their Hollow Brook Golf Club wedding. I’m just so incredibly grateful that working with souls like them is my norm. 🥹

THE COUPLE

Domenica and Christian are two of the most adorable people I’ve ever met - they’re incredibly thoughtful and complimentary. They have great senses of humor, are laidback, and create a beautiful sense of community with everyone around them. Their families are one of one - just like Domenica and Christian, they are precious and wonderful.

THE VENUE

I like to joke that Hollow Brook Golf Club in Cortlandt Manor, NY is my home away from home…but it honestly kind of is. If you look back on all of my blog posts here, you’ll see that I often have the joy of photographing weddings there. Not much makes me happier than knowing I have a Hollow Brook wedding on the calendar on any particular weekend.

Hollow Brook Golf Club is incredible in that, although it is a golf club, it feels rustic, cozy, and intimate. Although it is situated on a golf course, the outdoors feel wild and whimsical. There is never any shortage of new places to discover on the grounds. I’ve photographed so many weddings there, but I always have the joy of finding new spots to create magical photos with my couples.

Because Hollow Brook is so near and dear to my heart, I also always love to brag about the staff. They are beyond amazing, and focus so much on serving and supporting each couple that gets married there; the staff almost feel like they are family as they help manage each wedding day. That is such a beautiful and rare gift in our industry; the staff alone makes booking at Hollow Brook worth it.

THE DETAILS

Christian and Domenica chose a lilac and blue aesthetic for their wedding. They had a small wedding party who wore shades of the same, and looked lovely. Christian and Domenica also included smaller thoughtful details that were incredibly important - like little items memorializing their fathers who had passed on, and a cardboard cutout of their pup to take pictures with.

THE RECEPTION

If there’s one word to describe Domenica and Christian, it’s fun. They prioritized their joy on their wedding day, and that flowed into their party, becoming the most adorable and enjoyable reception.
