When I first culled this wedding to create this blog post, I selected 400 photos. FOUR HUNDRED PHOTOS. I guess that’s what happens when one of your college besties gets married in the mountains on the most beautiful overcast May day.
Let me tell you something: Christina (how do I stop calling you by your last name now, Ludwick?) had my heart from the moment I met her so many years ago. We were so opposite in so many ways (think emo scene kid music major and über athlete), but we just clicked. Christina is the best storyteller with the most compassionate heart. I could listen to her speak for days, and never get bored.
I had followed Christina’s romance with her now-husband DA through social media (as one does), and when she asked me about photographing her wedding, I was there 110%. The venue was the perfect mix of rustic elegance and mountainside romance…and the day itself? Well, let’s just say it was one of the most heartwarming weddings I have ever had the privilege to be a part of (take a peek at some of her family photos below, and I think you’ll understand).
Christina + DA, you are precious lights in this world. I wish you were still just a drive away.
